Karl Amadeus Hartmann penned a manifesto against war with his chamber opera “Des Simplicius Simplicissimus Jugend”. The Tiroler Landestheater stages this pessimistic piece in the Kammerspiele Innsbruck. Austrian bass Oliver Sailer takes on the roles of the peasant and the sergeant, interleaving these performances with his roles in “La bohème” (as Colline) and in “The Fairy Queen”.
